My mom came to visit for the weekend. I love it when my mom comes. We hadn't seen her since our visit to Utah in December because she doesn't drive to Boise during the winter and we don't go down to Utah as often anymore due to 4 children. But now it is spring and getting warmer and so she came. Hooray! Just one more reason to love this time of year :)
She took Friday off so she was here by 1:00. We spent time clearing out the flower beds in the front yard and she showed me how to divide my irises and yarrow. After the baby woke up and Marcus got home from school, we went to a nearby walking path and took a stroll (it was a LOVELY day) and then it was home for dinner and a movie after the kids went to bed.
The next day we went to breakfast for girl time and then walked around World Market and Tai Pan WITHOUT kids. It was awesome. That afternoon we all went to the Birds of Prey center, came home and had birthday cake (her birthday is the end of this month), enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard (because she won't be here at Easter), spent time in the kitchen learning how to make homemade gravy and biscuits, and then she watched the kids that night so Tim and I could go to a friend's wedding. My mom is so great. My boys love her and I love her.
