Bigger

One of us needs to get a bigger house. Or all of us. That would be okay, too.

For a few years now (5?) we've had monthly cousin dinners with two of my cousins and their families. Now each of us has 4 kids and those dinners have become a crazy madhouse. 12 kids, 6 adults. Kids ranging in age from nearly 10-years-old to 6 months. We take turns hosting and always meet on the first Sunday of the month. The host takes care of the main course and the other two families handle the salad and dessert. It's a time to catch up on each others lives and also the happenings of aunts and uncles and other family members that we haven't seen in a long time. We laugh, we complain, we share movie and television show recommendations. We talk about our callings. We discuss politics. We lift each other up. I love these people and I love their children. I still can't believe we all somehow ended up in the same place--our kids the same age--our husbands all in the accounting/finance profession. It's wonderful and amazing.

But I need a bigger house.
