Saturday night

Have you guys seen Megamind, yet? Because you totally should. It is hilarious. I'd heard it was funny and so I declared tonight RICHEY FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT (yes, in caps because it was just that big and special). This meant an early dinner (think 4:00) of leftover enchiladas for me and Tim and macaroni and cheese for the boys--leading them to already start thinking "movie night rocks!" Then Tim gave them all a bath (3 boys in a bathtub is the best) while I cleaned up the kitchen and made popcorn.

After everyone was in their jams-- oh and it's only 5:00 at this point-- we put a blanket on the floor (smooth mom trick to catch the stray popcorn kernels) and gave everyone their popcorn cups--really, we have movie popcorn cups and they made RICHEY FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT extra special. And then we watched the movie and it was so funny and we only had to pause it 5 or so times because Eli wanted "more popcorn?" and then when the popcorn was all gone and I had told him so about 100 times, he got down in my face and desperately cried, "MORE popcorn!" So we paused the movie and convinced him that a banana would be yummy so then Marcus wanted a banana and then Owen wanted one . . . and then Eli ate his so he wanted "more banana!" sigh. Eventually, we were able to finish the movie and to complete the night we all danced to the end credits music because it was Michael Jackson's "Bad" and how can you not have a spontaneous dance party when that song is playing?

And everyone was still in bed by 8:00. Awesome.
