Looking
I've been kind of gloomy and prickly the last few days. Ask my boys and my husband, they'll agree. The weird thing is that I couldn't really tell you why--there wasn't any particular reason, just blah. So without going into too many details here, I said a prayer and had a nice quiet moment and today felt so much better. I changed the way I was looking at things and really tried to look for the good in the things that happened throughout the day. Last Sunday I taught a lesson to the young women in my church about tender mercies. Tender mercies can be defined as blessings that seem to be made just for us at just the right moment--a little love note from a loving Heavenly Father. Some tender mercies are deeply personal and others are just gentle reassurances that a Greater Being is aware of us and our small needs. On days when you are really looking, there are so many to be found--they're always there, but we don't always choose to see them. Part of my prayer is that I can be better about looking.

The message in this months Ensign is the EXACT same. Elder Uchtdorf talks about looking for the good just like you said. Thanks for the reminder, you're a great example Katie!
I needed to hear that today. Thank you.
Sorry you were feeling glum! It's because it's been too long since you've been out to Kuna. ;)
Thanks for the reminder. Had the same feelings lately...maybe it's just march. We need to talk again...it's been awhile
