KayLyn, Bryon, and Ann came too and we all stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Richey in Idaho Falls. It was wonderful to see them again and Marcus kept saying, "Two grandpas. Two grandmas." Lucky boy.
The temple was beautiful and it was so wonderful to see. My favorite moment was when we got to see the Celestial Room and the tour guide let us all have a few minutes to just be in that beautiful quiet room. I felt so happy inside being in that room with Marcus in my arms and Tim beside me. I just felt this wonderful peace and joy. I am so happy to know that we are sealed together as a family. Marcus and Tim bring so much joy to my life and this gospel brings me so much peace--it was such a blessing to be in the temple with them. We're all looking forward to the Twin Falls Temple open house next. That one is this summer. That'll make 4 Idaho temples.

Interesting tidbit 1: the Rexburg Temple has the largest sealing room of all the temples. Yes, I saw it and yes, it is very big. I guess that's because Idaho families are gigantic. Tim's grandparents had 15 kids. This sealing room would seat them with spouses and entourage with room to spare :)

Now I really am jealous of you. I can't think of ANYTHING better than being in the celestial room with your family! I have also been waiting for years to see Leon Parson's paintings there. I can just imagine how beautiful it was. I'm so happy for you to have that experience.
Hi Katie, Thanks for coming to visit my blog! I am excited to finally have one up and running. Bryson's grandparents live just outside of Rexburg and we drove by the temple when we were up there a few weeks ago. It is beautiful. I bet it was amazing inside. Marcus is SO big! What a cute little boy. Have you read anything good lately? I need a book. How do you like Elizabeth Gaskell? I just watch the BBC version of her book North and South-and LOVED it-but Bryson's cousin Holly (the one that I watched the movie with) said she doesn't like her novels as much. Say hi to Tim.
I wish I was able to go up to it. Maybe soon. Glad you had a great time.
It looks so cold in Idaho! That would be a cool experience. My claim to fame is my great-grandmother Minerva Teichert painted the world room in the Manti temple.
I loved reading the tidbits. The temples have so many wonderful stories to them!
Aren't temples the neatest place around? I have a goal to see as many temples as I can before I die. Hopefully I can make it to all of them someday! :)
P.S. It looks mighty cold there!
My younger brother just made his wedding/sealing appointment for this June in the Rexburg temple...can't wait to see it! And hey, we'll get to see the ginormous sealing room for sure!

It is a beautiful temple and it was great to be there with some of my family as well. Thanks for sharing your tickets with us. It was fun watching Marcus with his 2 grandpas! I sure love my family!!!!
I'm so jealous!!! Ahh . . . I would love to go through the open house b/c its so hard to see everything when you are in doing sessions. It sounds great. My mom and dad were actually tour guides for it. Marcus is such a cutie!
