She works hard for the money

Well, not too hard and not for too much money but I still really enjoy it. I think I've mentioned before that I am an essay writing/English tutor for an online tutor service called Tutor.com. I started back at the beginning of the year and have already been promoted once (yipppee!) Anyway, during the summer I haven't worked much because all the kids are out of school, but I started working again this week and it's been really great. I only work around 5-10 hours a week and I usually schedule my hours during Marcus's naptime so it works out really well. It pays about $10 an hour so it's not liking I'm rolling in the dough, but it's a nice little addition each month. I'm just glad I can do something like this. I really enjoy working with the students and it's fun to help someone from Alabama and then the next session help someone from California. I'm not sure helping 10th graders with thesis statements will keep me sharp enough to enter a PhD program someday, but at least it's keeping the cobwebs from settling :)

Oh, and I am just as bummed as I'm sure all of you are that there haven't been more Marcus pictures lately. I have yet to get new batteries for my camera. Tim's got the car all week so we've been housebound.

That is cool that you can get a part-time job that you can do from home and that uses your degree!! And I am waiting for more pictures of Marcus. But I am being patient.
