Trivia

Last night I had a stake Relief Society training meeting. At first I was a little put off at the idea of going to a presidency meeting when I'm moving next Saturday, but I went and it turned out to be so wonderful and a nice reminder of all the wonderful things about the gospel.

Anyway, during the breakout session the stake Enrichment Counselor had this activity for us: first she played some popular television show theme songs and we had to guess what they were. Then she asked us to name the twelve apostles in order. Ummm. Yep, I will be honest and say that on the spot only six names came to mind. And no, they were not in order, and yes, one of them was Elder Maxwell. Anyway, not a stellar performance for me. That night I came home and told Tim about the activity.

Me: "So, can you name them all in order?"

Tim: "Yes."

Me: "Yeah, right. Okay, then do it. Hold on, let me get my cheat sheet so I can make sure."

Tim: (Proceeds to name them all in order)

Me: (I have no words, my mouth is hanging open)

Tim: "I can also name the past twenty winners of the SuperBowl."

Wow.

Ha ha...wow. I thought I was doing good when I learned all the books of the Old/New Testament as well as the Book of Mormon. I would definitely fail the apostle test miserably. Tim rocks.

That is my crazy brother. I swear that he has a photographic memory. He can always remember names and stats that amaze me. I used to know all the general authorities, until Elder Maxwell and Elder Haight died. Now I still try to put their names in and then I get all messed up! How is your house coming along?

I am very proud of my son but he sure did not get his memory skills from his mother!
