Here's our lovely house.
This is the side of our house so that you can see the lovely blossoming trees. We have a corner lot and Tim is going to be in charge of mowing the lawn :)
Okay, here is the family room/kitchen area. Down the hall is the master bedroom. Soon this room will be only hardwood style laminate floor instead of yucky carpet and green linoleum. To the right is the fireplace and behind us are the two bedrooms and a bathroom. You can also see our lovely green appliances (I won't even tell you what color the wallpaper was underneath the wallpaper that I am peeling off in the entryway-see the floral?- (which is a horrible chore--I will never wallpaper a wall . . . ever).
Here is what I call the "front room." To the right are the giant windows that you can see in the first picture. In here we will have a nice carpet and the walls will all be the same color, probably a color a little similar to the one you see on the left. Not sure though. I actually might use that color in the entryway, halls, and family room/kitchen area. We'll see.
Finally, here are the garden boxes in our backyard. We probably won't really do much with the outside stuff this year. I think those projects will come next summer. We have more than enough to do on the inside. There are also raspberries along the back fence. Yummy. I will try to keep more pictures coming but make no promises because these next two weeks will be crazy busy. Wish us luck because we are definitely going to need it!!

Katie, I am SO excited for you! I can't wait to see the after pictures, with your creativity the house will look like something off of TLC's "Flip That House." Congrats and good luck!
That is sooo great! I am glad that you guys finally got everything finalized. I can't wait to see your house when I come up there. Will you be all moved in when you come down in a couple of weeks? I am really excited to see you guys. You need to post a video of Marcus patting his bum!

I love the yard and the trees. It's going to feel so spacious after being cramped in an apartment. I am so happy for you. Fixing up a house is so much fun, and so rewarding.

Thanks!! The work is coming along and we are feeling some satisfaction as we see some progress. Tim has become a master at scraping ceilings and I am working on becoming a master at texturing them. Dirty work, but somebody's got to do it :)
I can't wait to see the house after you and your mom finish the painting and Tim finishes the floor. We will be there on Saturday to help with the move. CAN'T WAIT!
