I had no idea that Christmas could be so much fun when you have a child. I know Marcus wasn't exactly old enough to understand what was going on, but it was so wonderful to help him unwrap gifts and watch him hold things and interact with his aunties, his uncle, and Grandma and Grandpa Richey. We spent Christmas Eve over at our little place (yes, it was squishy, but it was a nice squishy) and we made ribs. I didn't actually have any because I have a huge aversion to eating meat off the bone, but all who did eat gave me rave reviews. It sure made the apartment smell good. On Christmas morning we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Richey's house in Nampa where all the family was and we had the most wonderful morning. Marcus received a zillion presents and each gift was so great (clothes, toys, books, music). Tim and I had a great Christmas too. My main gift to Tim was letting him slowly shave his beard off which meant that each day he had some unusual facial hair (the picture of him pretty much says it all). Tim gave me an interior decorating book by Nate Berkus (yep, I've already rearranged my apartment). Anyway, we spent the ENTIRE day in Nampa, and I mean that quite literally because we didn't go home until midnight. We went to church which was nice because the choir had a great presentation (and church wasn't until 2:30). So, it was just a really nice holiday.
