I read 40 books in 2012 which is a new record for me. I think this is because I listened to a lot more books on my iPod which allowed me to be a book nerd and a productive member of society at the same time :) I'm also surprised by how many non-fiction books I read because usually those aren't my thing--look at me growing up.
Here are the books I read in 2012 that you should definitely read in 2013:
Non Fiction
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
Daughter's in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society
Unbroken: A World War II story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand
Radioactive: Marie and Pierre Curie, A Tale of Love and Fallout by Lauren Redniss
Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea by Barbara Demick
An Exact Replica of a Figment of my Imagination by Elizabeth McCracken
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
Adult Fiction
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry
What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
The Whistling Season by Ivan Doig
Still Alice by Lisa Genova
YA Fiction
The Fault in our Stars by John Green
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
