Celebrating 8 months

I celebrated Zach's 8 months on this planet by running my first 5k post Zachy. The training was a lot rougher this time around due to lack of sleep for the first few months of training (I started running again back in June) and coordinating schedules with Tim and 4 children. I also lost my running partner because she also had a baby and he's younger so she's still dealing with the sleepless nights. My mother-in-law, Ann, had never run a 5k before so she decided to train and do one with me. It kept us accountable. We signed up to do the Barber to Boise run and this morning we TOTALLY rocked it! My goal was to run the whole time (no walking!) and to do it in 30 minutes. Well, I ran the entire time and even sprinted at the end and felt good, too (no desire puke). I didn't quite make my goal on time. My official time was 34 min, but my father-in-law timed me, too, and he says he clocked me at 33 min so obviously I am going to go with that time :) I'm still pleased. I'm doing another 5k with a bunch of friends the end of this month, so maybe I'll hit my 30 min goal on that one. I'm so PROUD of us!

tummy time (it's likely he will never crawl)

At the park just a day or so ago. Zachy can be a bit of a stone face. He actually really enjoyed swinging. This picture makes me laugh.
