5 months

Zachy is 5 months old! Here's another update on his current likes and dislikes.

Likes:
wiggling around on the floor
grabbing toys
standing up (with help, obviously. This is new though because he didn't used to like to stand.)
he still loves Marcus the best
baths
his thumb!
nursing and snuggling with mom
dad's armpit (Tim is magical with this sort of armpit tuck hold that puts Zach right to sleep--I can already see the obvious jokes, but it really is magical!)
balloons
getting tickled and he is very ticklish
pulling on mom's hair
being  naked
people watching

Doesn't like:
bottles
his car seat on long trips
not sitting at the table with us when we're having dinner
not getting enough sleep (he gets pretty grumpy)
dirty diapers
fireworks

He really is so much fun. He started rolling over a week or so ago and gets this kind of shocked face still whenever he does it. I can tell he's getting ready for solids because he is fascinated by our food and watching us eat or drink things. We also pulled out the jumperoo for him to play in and he doesn't jump in it yet, but it has really encouraged him to build his leg strength and he enjoys playing with the toys in it. If we put him on a blanket on the ground he will wiggle all around and kick his little legs. He's adorable. His eyes are still gigantic and he gets lots of compliments on how big and blue and beautiful they are. My cousin Andee said, when she saw him for the first time, that everything about him is round. His round eyes, his round cheeks and his round little head. I thought round was a perfect way to describe him.
