Yesterday was what I like to refer to as a "head for the hills!" sort of day. Maybe you have a different word for it at your house. It's the sort of day where you just want to throw up your arms and run screaming for the hills like some kind of crazy person. This kind of day may include but is not limited to:
1. a total lack of sleep the night before due to a baby waking up every hour (also I was dumb and didn't go to bed as early as I should have so I own some blame, but only some--Zach, I am looking at you).
2. two poopy underwears. Yep, I said underwear and NOT diapers. I spent all last week potty training the twins (that was fun) and they are pretty much potty trained. The pooping thing needs some work, though. Tonight I'm off to the store for some more tempting treats that we will deliciously refer to as "poop treats." We're all about the bribery at our house.
3. 3-year-olds who suddenly can't be more that a foot away from you at all times.
4. no naps
5. a very very messy house
6. a broken computer (again)
But then Tim came home and corralled the boys into cleaning up the house while I went to mutual and enjoyed a wonderful choir concert. AND I went to bed early AND Zach slept for 6 hours straight--the longest ever!
Today has been much better. Those hills can wait.
Thank goodness for the end of some days and the beginning of others.

Amen, sister. There are days like that where I tell myself, "Y'know, Oregon is only an hour away. I could just drive to Oregon, and keep driving...no one would miss me...." :) You're doing great work with those boys. I'll see you Tuesday!
I remember those days well--has it really been over 33 yrs ago when I had my first child?!
You and Tim are wonderful parents to wonderful boys (I was going to say little boys, but Marcus might not appreciate that). Keep up the good work & keep the faith.
Congrats to the twins on their potty-training skills :)
