I'm blessed to have some really wonderful friends and two of them took me out to tea for my 30th birthday. We dressed up and wore hats and totally enjoyed ourselves. I think tea time really needs to make a comeback. It was wonderful and so fun. A girl never truly outgrows her love for tea parties. At least this girl never will.
Our first course was fresh fruit topped with cream--real cream! I could have enjoyed an entire bowl of that cream on the side. So good.
Then we had scones with more cream and jam.
That was followed by this lighter-than-air quiche. So good.
Then came the sandwiches. Tradition has you start at the bottom and work your way up so that's exactly what we did.
Our final treat was this chocolate molten cake and a little petit four. It was all so delicious. Such a good day! Thanks, ladies!
