I hate it when I can't find the pics I want to post, my camera was being a little weird and getting the dates messed up (it's fixed now) but now my pics are all out of order and I can't find them by date--it's a little annoying. Anyway, I still wanted to write about how summer is going so far.
Great!!!
We go to the park every single day for the free lunch in the park program. It's really wonderful and the kids LOVE it.
We still get together with the cousins every week for a playdate but this time it lasts even longer because nobody is in school.
Our mornings are often nice and lazy with me reading a book on the couch while the boys watch cartoons. I'm reading Gone with the Wind again. I'm hosting it for book club next week. That book is amazing and it's been fun learning about the author, Margaret Mitchell.
Playdates with friends. Marcus lives for playdates, can someone say Social Butterfly?! I'm really grateful he has such good friends who have moms that I can be good friends with, too.
Summer Reading at the Library! Marcus has already read 8 books and earned a prize.
Picking strawberries in the backyard--raspberries are up next!
Things to look forward to:
Marcus's 6th birthday on Saturday. We are having his very first friend birthday party and he could not be more excited. He has been counting down and tells me every morning just how many days are left until his birthday. We've invited 10 little friends and are going to have a lot of water fun in our backyard--oh, and I found the cutest fish cupcakes that I'm going to make. I'll post pictures after the party.
Marcus is going to Vacation Bible Camp for a week (in the mornings) with a friend from kindergarten at the end of this month--fun!
I'm turning 30! Tim's taking me to the Alison Krauss concert at the Botanical Gardens for my birthday--I'm really looking forward to it.
Swimming lessons in July.
Family reunion weekend with Tim's family. Marcus can't wait to play with cousin Tyler!
Richey Family Vacation to visit my old roommate, Aubrey, and her family at their ranch. I am so excited for this and my boys are going to LOVE it!
Aren't summers the best?

That sounds like so much fun! Happy Summer!
I watched Gone with the Wind a month or two ago and it was fantastic. Must reread the book now!
That sounds like an awesome summer. We haven't done a lot yet this summer but the boys don't seem to mind yet, which is good. Hopefully by the time they get tired of playing at home I will be ready to get out of the house.
Sounds busy and fun...glad that we are able to be part of some of that busyness and fun!
