Aren't these three boys the cutest ever? We got together with my cousins and their families up at the Grow family cabin during Memorial Day weekend and it was a weekend of sitting around, hiking, playing, eating, talking, eating some more, hot creeks. Notice I did not say sleeping. We could tell how much fun all of our kids were having by how little sleep they (and we) got.
It's lovely, isn't it? That big porch looks out over Garden Valley and we saw in no particular order: elk, wild turkeys, and a beautiful storm roll up over the mountains and into the valley from that porch and those big windows.
This picture makes me laugh. The kids ran around wild for 2 days and loved every minute of it. The only little cousin missing in this picture is Thomas and I think he was taking a nap when we took it--I'm sure he wished he could have been running around wild, too, but he's still a sweet little one and had to stay inside with the boring adults. Looking at this picture makes me grateful all over again to have some of my family live so close. It is really kind of crazy how the two cousins so close to me in age ended up living so near. It is wonderful because all of our kids match up in ages and we all have such a good time together. I will be so sad if either of these families ever moves away.
We visited some hot springs that were only about 10 minutes away and the kids had a blast. The husbands thought it'd be awesome to jump in the freezing river first and then hurry to the hot tub because a man never really outgrows the urge to do something crazy when he's with other guys :) My family didn't bring swimsuits so Marcus just wore his tighty whiteies which was hilarious and when the babies' diapers immediately soaked up 20 lbs of water, we just took them off and let them do some skinny dipping. Owen wasn't so sure, but Eli well, let's just say Eli may have some nudist tendencies. He REALLY enjoyed being naked in those springs.
