My mom came for a visit a few weeks ago and knowing her awesome artistic abilities, I put her right to work on painting this lovely underwater scene. Isn't it awesome? I was so happy with how it turned out--so happy. We had our annual Spring Fling at Marcus's school and we started a new tradition: a fish pond. It was a gigantic hit and we ended up needing lots more volunteers than I had originally planned, but Wow, so great.
One of the most popular prizes found at the fishing pond were these sticky hands that Marcus and some of his kindergarten buddies are so happily modeling for you.Sometimes it can feel a bit crazy planning schedules and preparing for school events and all the extra volunteer stuff that can come with our church callings and now a child who goes to school (oh, and sports are coming up--Marcus is all signed up for T-Ball and Tim is coaching that team--he he he). But at the end of the day we feel blessed and happy to be involved.

Katie, thanks for inviting us to your Spring Fling...it was so fun watching the boys have so much fun. Your mom did a wonderful job on the fish pond.
