Jim Gill

Have you heard of this guy? If not, look him up because he's totally great. I take the babies to story time at the library once a week and Miss Tammy always has a fun dance break for the kids. Often she plays a Jim Gill song and we always have a good time rockin out to his silly songs. So when I heard that the Boise Library was sponsoring a visit from Mr. Gill for a free concert at the Egyptian Theater downtown--well, I was hooked! We took the boys down for the afternoon concert and had the BEST hour of laughing, dancing, and singing. Eli totally rocked it. Owen sort of rocked it (mostly he stared with wide eyes at Jim on the stage), and Marcus rocked it until he got distracted by the popcorn lots of other people were eating and decided he was suddenly soooo hungry. Sorry, Marcus.

Anyway, I really appreciate living in a community that provides this kind of free entertainment for families. I also really appreciate having a husband who misses the BYU game (Jimmer and all) so that he can go to a kid concert with his boys.

Oh, and I LOVED the Soup Opera. We sang like opera stars and that is always awesome. I've been singing, "I can't eat the soup," in opera fashion ever since. My boys love it.
