Favorite Books from 2010

I know that 2010 isn't over yet, but I don't know that I'm going to have much time to read in the next week and a half what with Christmas and all :) so I thought I'd post some of my favorite reads from this past year. And for those who have been following my reading history in 2010 via my Goodreads sidebar, fear not! I am going to do it again in 2011. It was really fun for me to go back and look at all that I'd read this past year and what I did and didn't like. I read 34 books in 2010 and only seven of those books got a 5 star rating from me. Here is a list of those 5 star babies. Think of it as a Christmas present from one happy reader to another. Kisses.

Jen-I did read Anna Karenina and also loved it. That one got 4 stars. I haven't read the last three you listed so I will definitely put them on my "to read" list for 2011. Thanks. I know I can pretty much always trust your recommendations :) Have a Merry Christmas!

I wonder if you would like The Thirteenth Tale. I'm not sure if it's 5 star material and I really didn't like the first half of it because the characters themselves were unlikeable, but the ending made it all worth it. I also really enjoyed Garlic and Sapphires.
