At some point every kid should grow some pumpkins in a garden. Pumpkins are so cool to watch grow and then the kids get to carve them, carry them around to show how strong they are, and display them on the front porch for all the neighbors and friends to see and admire. Also, if the kids are
really lucky, along with the regular orange pumpkins, they'll get some big green ones and even some little bitty ones (like we did) and guess what? Those aren't any problem at all--nope, it doesn't mean they didn't grow very well, those are just the "baby pumpkins" and the "witch pumpkins." We may just even trade my cousin one of her white "ghost pumpkins" for one of our orange ones. I think those white pumpkins are so cool. We're definitely planting some of those next year.

They grew so well! Your grass looks fantastic too!
How fun! I love kids' imaginations! I wish we had room for pumpkins in our garden. Someday...
