This is what I get to see three times a day. I also get to nurse the boys four times a day. Let's just say "Food source" is another word for "mom." As you can probably imagine, baby food could get expensive for two babies and so I decided to start making my own baby food and guess what? It is not hard at all. Also, it doesn't really feel that time consuming either. Trust me, if it were time consuming I would not be doing it. The trick is to make a bunch and freeze it in ice cube trays, then when its frozen you put the food cubes in big freezer bags. When it's time to eat, I just pull out the amount of cubes I want and microwave them for a few seconds and ta dah! Dinner is served.
So far the boys have enjoyed bananas, sweet potato, carrots, applesauce, pears, apricots, mixed veggies, green beans, and peas. They have loved everything but the green beans which literally made Eli gag (hilarious). They have also enjoyed drinking water and pear juice (new foods have caused a wee bit of constipation) from their sippy cups and have enjoyed veggie crackers and teething cookies. They LOVE teething cookies. If you want to be their best friend forever, give them teething cookies.
And yes, when I am by myself they use the same spoon and eat out of the same bowl. Owen gets a bite, then Eli gets a bite, then Owen and so forth until the food is all gone. Usually, they are very patient while they wait for their turn but there have been times when they have whined or wiggled impatiently while watching their brother have a bite of yummy carrot/sweet potato goodness. I have noticed that they're more patient with rice cereal and mixed veggies combo than they are with oatmeal and applesauce combo. Go figure.

I love the candid peeks you give into life with twins. They are so dang cute. Josh used to gag all the time. It was his standard reaction. Made me laugh. :) So I finally posted some of your pictures on my blog if you want to check it out. I wasn't quite sure, did I get at least one of each twin? It's hard to tell them apart! Hope you like em. :)
Ok I am still impressed that you are still nursing two babies. I'm relearning how to nurse one and it stresses me out to think you did this with two. And you deserve a medal for making your own baby food. I tried once with sweet potatoes and I think I scorched them or something because Gabby wouldn't touch them.
You are a wonderful mom!
