Marcus thinks all the baby toys are new toys for him. The brothers don't really seem to mind though, because they think Marcus is the coolest thing in the world (next to Mom's boogs of course).
Tim's been out of town this week and will be home in about an hour (yipppeee!!). My friend was over the other day for a lovely chat and she asked me how the week was going and after pondering for a minute I said something like, "Well, I miss Tim, but it has actually been pretty doable." Yes, folks, I said DOable. Back in the early days of sleepless nights, no real routine, and the incredible overwhelmed feeling of having two babies to care for and a 3-year-old as well--back then if you had asked me if I thought I could do a week alone with them, I would have looked at you as if you were crazy. Yet, look, here I am six months down the line and we have routine, we have sleep, and we have a mom who's feeling comfortable enough with her new role as mother of three to say, "Yep, it's doable."
That said, though, I'm still really really really happy that Tim will be home in about an hour :)

I love how the twins are watching their big brother. You are a wonderful mom!
I know by "boogs" you meant "boobs" but the first thing I thought when I saw it was something short for boogers. It gave me a little chuckle.
yes it is much fun to watch them grow! and you should call me when you can so we can figure out the plans
I used that same phrase today to describe getting three little girls ready for church on time by myself because Jeff was at meetings. Caring for twins is a much more daunting task, but I can empathize to a certain extent. :) You're awesome. I was excited to get your card in the mail yesterday. We will love seeing you while you're in town!
It's good to hear that life gets better. After talking to you, (my battery died) I immediately started ready your book suggestion. We were kind of doing some of those things, and now we are doing a blend of baby wise, baby whisperer, happiest baby on the block and healthy sleep habits, and they are sleeping!!!! It sounds way more complicated than it is, but thank you for the tip. It gave me more confidence in letting them cry more to get to sleep. I'm glad Tim is home!
I love your blog! ANd those boys!! They are way too cute! All 3 of them! It;s the same in this house too, Emmie is by far the best entertainment for Kai. He prefers her (at a distance) to any toy that we give him.
After we left the BBQ, I remembered the name of the mom who put her little girls' bows on her forehead. Her name was Kristy, and she taught gymnastics on horses. Here little girl kind of looked like a Cabbage Patch Kid. Does that ring a bell? Lol...Good times.
Glad things are doable! I'm sorry we missed your party on Saturday. We were in Park City with my family. I can't wait to meet your boys one day!
