The nursery
After five months, everyone is finally sleeping where they should and in the bed they should. This time around, I really wanted my nursery to have a lot of color and to stay away from the usual baby themed pastels. I liked the jungle crib quilt that came with Marcus's old crib set, but I wasn't loving anything else from his old set, so I decided to use the quilt as my key piece and I pulled out the green and the orange and the dark blue for my color palette. With the help of my mother-in-law, I made the valance, the bumper pads, and the crib skirts. My mom painted the walls for me. There's just one more thing I want to do before I feel like it's finished and that is to buy a wooden shelf (paint it a crisp white) and then put the name cross stitches my mother-in-law makes for all the grandkids on this shelf along with a cute picture of the boys with Marcus and maybe down the road, a family picture. This shelf will hang above the dresser on that gaping blank wall.
Soon to come . . . pictures of Marcus's new room with his big boy bed!

That looks great; so fun and happy!
So talented! I am so impressed!
OK now come and do my nursery. I think my brain is fried because I can't figure out what to do, so I just stare into space. Maybe if I stare at your pictures long enough I'll absorb some inspiration.
Your nursery looks great! I can't wait to come and see it. I might try to come up in August. It will just depend on work and everything that is going on.
It looks great Katie! I'm glad you got the furniture arrangement figured out.
I love the colors. Very cute.
I love it, especially the green dresser.

Everything turned out wonderful! Thanks for letting me help. I am sure all the boys are enjoying their wonderful "new" rooms!
