Marcus bid farewell to Nursery last Sunday and became a big Sunbeam. It was my turn to be home with the babes, so there were no tears shed on my part. I was a little worried that the transition might be difficult for him (hello, no toys and lots of sitting!) but he actually did really well. In fact, he took to the sitting part so well that he wouldn't even stand up when he was supposed to! His first accomplishment as a Sunbeam was to learn how to sing the Sunbeam song in the "classic" way--you know, "Jesus wants me for a SUNBEAM!!" with the jumping-- so, I guess that makes him official now.
For those who feel like waxing a little nostalgic for this big step in Marcus's little life. Here is a picture of his first Sunday in Nursery. sniff sniff.

I wish he could've been in the nursery class I subbed for last week. There were 10 little maniacs in that class.
Marcus was hilarious during sharing time. We tried really hard to get him to stand up, but he would just smile over at us. There was one other boy who tried to "escape" by going under the chairs a couple times. It was comical.
I forget that Marcus and Gabby are hitting these Mormon milestones together. So cute. And yes I actually thought about high school aerobics when I posted those pictures. So many memories.
Heidi started sunbeams too, and she turned four this week, and I shed some tears after we put her to bed on her birthday. Time is passing too quickly!
What a difference 1 1/2 years makes!! I can't believe how much Marcus has grown & I see him regularly. I am glad he loves Primary, no matter which group he is with and I can't wait to hear him song "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam".
