I survived
This little moment right now is just perfect. The babes are taking a nap in their bed. Marcus is having quiet time in his room. I just had a yummy lunch and am now passing a few moments reading your blogs and updating mine. Wonderful. I will savor it while I can :)
Yesterday went well and last night went . . . let's just say that Tim is probably very tired at work today. Owen decided he wanted to be WIDE awake from 3-4:30 (what a sweetie) and it was during poor Timothy's shift (yes, we have shifts now so that our stretches of sleep can go longer than just 2 hours). Owen is really going to need to turn on the charm when Tim gets home so that he can get back in his dad's good graces again.
Today is going even better in that I actually showered, put on makeup, did my hair, and then got back in my snuggly clothes--my regular clothes are still not fitting the way they should due to my large chest and my jelly belly--mostly the chest, though--Wowsa! Yesterday, I managed to shower but that was it. It is amazing how much better you feel when you look presentable.
I even made dinner last night. I could literally see Tim's joy at having his wife and his life take one more step towards normalcy. Good times.

I thought about you many times yesterday. I'm glad it went well and everyone survived.
This picture is awesome. Shifts are a great idea. I hope things continue to get back to normal!
Hooray for a shower, hair AND make-up! That does call for reason to celebrate. Hopefully Owen gets back on daddy's good side soon!!!
I appreciate that post as only one mother to another can. You're amazing. The twins are adorable.
How nice of Tim! I hope the litle guys start learnning life is better with sleep...for all of you:)
I here ya on the "shifts" thing. We have also tried "divide and conquer" with our twins where one of us is in charge of one baby per night and that works pretty well too... sometimes.
I guess I did raise Tim to be a pretty good daddy & husband. I am proud of both of you for raising our grandsons in a such a special manner. You are doing a great job. Love you.
