Feelin the love

I'm feeling so loved today. Yesterday, my YW president asked if I could be in YW for opening exercises because the girls had "prepared a surprise for me." I can't remember if I've mentioned this before, but I've just been attending sacrament meeting the past few weeks and I haven't been able to go to the Wed night YW activities either--too hard, people! So, I said I'd do my best to be there. This morning I felt pretty crummy, but I wanted to attend church for the YW surprise, of course, but also because I just needed to feel the spirit. Sacrament meeting was wonderful and I hung out in the soft chairs during Sunday school and then headed over to YW. It was soooo great to be with all those girls again. I love them!! When it came time for announcements, Sis P. got up and asked me to come up by her. Then she said that they loved me and had prepared a surprise for me on Wed, and then in walked another counselor with this amazing diaper cake!!! Of course I started crying and smiling all at the same time and then I went around the entire room and gave every single person a hug. It was so wonderful and so thoughtful. Everytime I look at it, I smile.

It is made up of 100 newborn diapers.

They customized the balloon for me :)

There are lots of goodies on the cake--at least two of everything. There are also little cards that all of the girls signed attached by these teeny tiny blue clothes pins. So precious!

Then, as if the day wasn't already going so great, our friends brought over these amazing sweet rolls. Yummy!! Also, they have a cute little 6-month-old boy that made us feel excited.

And here I am. I will be 36 weeks this Wednesday. Here is the latest scoop. I am uncomfortable!!! Whenever I walk around I feel this pressure and mild contractions (Braxton Hicks). So basically, I am sitting and lying down a lot. Both boys are still head down and are healthy. I still have weekly NST and fluid checks--next one this Wed. And I meet with my Doc this Thursday. He'll check my cervix at that appt. and we'll talk inducement dates. I've gained about 45 lbs. and am stretched to the max. The reality is that these boys will be here at any time during the next two weeks. I find this both exciting and horrifying. I do know that I will feel such happiness and relief when they are finally here safe and sound. So, how about a little contest? When do you guys think they will come? My wish is for them to come the day after Thanksgiving, so that date is out. And I think our inducement date is going to be Dec. 1. Oh, and if you're really feeling lucky, go ahead and guess how much each one will weigh.

I'll choose the day before Thanksgiving, mostly because that's the day we got to bring Clara home from the hospital so it's a day of happy memories for us. I don't know what date that was in 2006 off the top of my head, but to make my guess official, I think you'll have your babies on November 26th.

And I think Owen will weigh 5 pounds, 8 ounces and Eli will weigh 6 pounds, 5 ounces.

I'm really excited for you!

Such a sweet surprise! I wish that we lived closer to you guys so we could help out when the baby boys get here! BTW, I say Thanksgiving Day. Then you can be very thankful to have them here and you be comfortable again!! :0) We love you guys and hope that all goes well in the coming weeks!!

Well if your induction is on Dec 1st I'm saying Dec 2nd in the am.(If they change your induction date I reserve the right to change my guess!) :) As far as weight I have no idea what they're thinking the boys weigh from ultrasounds so I'll just guess, 5lbs 3 oz and 6lbs 1oz. The first numbers that popped into my head were a little smaller (probably since I'm use to taking care of the earlier twins) but after thinking about I think I'll stick with these ones. We shall see!

my day has already been guessed i have just always thought Thanksgiving day...not sure why..I guessing that both babys will weigh 6 pounds. One will be a few ounces more than the other! about 19 inches long! I hope you are too uncomfortable and that things will move along smoothly for you.

Love the diaper cake. I have made one of these and seen a lot and this one is one of the best! I need to come and get a lesson!

PS It must cause nerves to go out of whack when you know teo are coming but I have no doubt that you will do great. After all look at the amazing little boythat you already have! You will be great with two!

You look so amazing, Katie. Seriously. Being tall and red haired bodes well for twin pregnancies.

I am going to guess that at least one of them will have red hair (preferably both because then you could call them Fred and George)

and they will be born the 28th and be
5 lb 12 oz and 6 lb 10

Grandpa Richey says the 26th (His mom's birthday), KayLyn says 22nd (Tim's birthday and start of Thanksgiving break), Grandma Richey says 25th (that was Tim's due date). We think Owen will be 5lbs 10 oz, Eli 6 lbs 10 oz. KayLyn's bet is whichever of us 3 is the furthest away will take care of Marcus for the day by themselves. (But really this will be a treat for us!)

And, Katie, you look WONDERFUL1!!

Hey Katie May... I love these guessing games! Owen's weight 5 pounds 3 ounces, Eli's weight 5 pounds 14 ounces, and for good measure.. Eli will be 18.75 inches long and Owen will be 19.35 inches long. Birthdates.... hmmmm November 28th at 5:36 pm. You're doing great... won't be long now! We love you!

What a nice thing for them to do! I think the best baby gift you can get is diapers. Also, I think that the only place you've gained weight on your entire body during your pregnancy is your belly. You look like as soon as those babies come out, you will look as skinny as before you were pregnant. Lucky lady! I will venture a guess of November 29th, hopefully that one hasn't already been taken.

Ok, my guess (maybe more my hope so they are not as old when I come up next month) is that they will come on November 30 and Owen will be 6 lbs. 4oz and Eli will be 6 lbs. 11 oz. But in reality, I think they will come on November 23 and Owen will be 5 lbs. 11 oz. and Eli will be 6 lbs. 4 oz. And you do look amazing and I love your diaper cake. :) Just keep relaxing and letting people do things for you.

How thoughtful of your young women to give you just the thing you'll need most. You're going to be using a LOT of diapers! Yay! I'm in YW too. They are wonderful girls. Gosh, Katie, I can't believe it's here! Only 45 lbs? I think that's what I gained with only one. :) But I can't imagine two little BOYS kicking around in there! You must never feel nothing. :) My guess is the Sunday following Thanksgiving.

Oh I love the diaper cake (as originally featured on my all-time favorite TV show - Sex & the City)! I got one for my shower, and I felt all kinds of special.

You look beautiful - pregnant yes, but beautiful all the same. I keep asking Kelly - "Has she had the babies yet?" Thanks for the updates! :)

I think you'll make it all the way so Dec. 1st. I'm guessing Owen 6lb 2oz and Eli 7lb 1 oz. Both strong, healthy and adorable like the rest of the family.

I think they will come before Thanksgiving. Good luck. I know you will be great with 3 boys.

Katie! Nicole Munz said that you were having twins and I had to look you up. We miss you guys, but we'll be moving back next fall. You are going to have your hands full with three boys, but you're already an amazing mom. We can't wait to see you!
