Musical Chairs
Last night we went to our ward's "Pie Night," and we had a great time. During some of the activity, the adults and older kids played games while the younger ones hung out in the nursery. After the games were finished, I went to collect Marcus so we could enjoy chocolate, strawberry, peach, and apple pie (with ice cream and cookies) and Sister G. who'd been watching the kids said, "Marcus is so cute. I have the best story to tell you." She went on to tell me that they'd played musical chairs (Marcus has never played this game and he was one of the younger kids in there) so he lost in the first round. They pulled his chair out of the circle and set it up in the corner for him. He continued to run around the circle with the other kids while the music played and whenever it stopped he'd just run to his chair in the corner. When the game finally ended, all the kids went over and gave him high fives. So Marcus got to have pie, hang out in nursery on a weeknight, and he "won" at musical chairs. Not a bad Friday night for an almost 3-year-old.
