This year we're giving yummy homemade muffin mixes to friends and neighbors. My mom did something similar to this when I was a kid and I remember the neighbors loved it and looked forward to it every year. I got a cookbook from Tim's great-grandma at the family reunion called "Make-A-Mix Cookery," and it had a great recipe for "Melt-In-Your-Mouth Muffins" and they are yummy!! Ann and I got together and made 47 mixes last night. We mixed up the dry ingredients and all that needs to be added is milk and an egg. Easy and delicious--one of my favorite combinations!

Those look so good. I DO wish we still lived by you! We got your card. Thanks. We hope you have an awesome Christmas.
What a great idea! I think my mom might have this cookbook. Does it have a doughnut recipe in it? If it does it's so good!
I do wish I lived by you! Those look really good.
It was a wonderful thing we did back then... You do have lucky neighbors... I remember how they all loved those muffins! Nice work Katie Marie!! They look yummy!! Have a wonderful Merry Christmas!!! Love you guys!!

Those look so yummy! What a great idea! I'll have to keep that one in mind for next year! We hope you have a great Christmas this year!! Love you!
Look at you go domestic diva!
Aren't Spanish Forkians considered your neighbors? :) Those look Yumm-O (in the words of Rachael Ray). Okay, spill it...you need to share the mix recipe. Melt in your mouth? Again, Yumm-O!
It was fun making all those mixes and we did it in only abt 2 hrs...even with Tim having to go get more supplies because this grandma only bought half of what we needed! Thanks for the idea, Katie.
Jen: Yep, it has a dough-nut recipe. Maybe that's what we'll do for New Year's Eve . . .
Guess who I just heard from? Aubrey & Jake. I'll forward their letter onto you so you can see how cute their kids are--blondies like yours.
What a great cook book. I am going to have to look for it. What a great idea. I will have to copy that one for another year!!
