It turns out that Marcus is quite the methodical little present opener. He took his sweet time peeling back each little piece of paper. When he would finally reveal a peep of the present inside he'd say, "Oh wow," and then continue to open it. It was like he was surprised every time to see that underneath all that paper was something totally cool.

This picture documents how my son has been taught to appreciate the finer things in life--things like gift cards to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. He will make some woman very happy someday. Seriously, look how happy he is about my present. Good times.

We're not big stocking people, but we did put a candy cane with M&M's in it (a stocking tradition from Tim's family) for Marcus to pull out and enjoy.
Other Highlights:

*I made a delicious Christmas Eve feast and the leftovers lasted until today--yummy!
*My mom came to visit us for a few days and she made a delicious feast and there are still leftovers.
*Watching season 3 of The Office.
*Seeing the lights at the Idaho Botanical Garden with my mom.
*A Christmas day feast at Bryon and Ann's.
*Spending time with Marcus and Tim. I adore them both and am grateful everyday that they are a part of my life.
