Anyway, I came home with about 15 jars and half a case of peaches. I used that half case to make jam (soooo good) and when Kristy and Gabe were staying with us I made scones specifically to showcase my peach jam. Then when my mom was in town earlier this week she taught me how to make a peach pie. Ask me if I'm sick of peaches after this past week and I will go look at my pretty jars all lined up in rows in my cupboard and say, "No way!"
I think I'll go have a piece of toast with some peach jam.

OK, all I can say is "Yummy!!" I'm going to need to try some of those peaches!! I'll let you know when I'll be in Boise next!! :0)
So delicious looking!
Those could earn a blue ribbon for sure. They look awesome. I love peaches. Never made a pie though. Maybe you will have to give some lessons. Enjoy some peaches for me.
My mouth is watering...
Hey! I just did some peaches today too! Except, I didn't make jam or a pie, I just bottled them. You're so domestic. I totally understand your sense of accomplishment when you see all the peaches lined up in your cupboard! And, the home canned kind really do taste better than the store bought kind.
This is not really related to your post, but you'll have to tell my how "The Mermaid Chair" is. I really liked "The Secret Life of Bees" and will be looking for a new good book to read soon. I am reading a really good church book right now called, "25 Mistakes LDS Parents Make and how to Avoid Them" written by Randal A. Wright. I would highly recommend it!
Those peaches look so good. We love peaches also. Stone tricked Rusty into trying one by saying it was an apple and he loved it.
I still remember when I canned my first fruit and jams...it was a wonderful accomplishment. It was hard to start using them because they looked so good in the jars (just like yours!). I hated the feeling when they were all gone, but they were sure good getting gone!
