The Fair

Marcus's favorite part of the fair is the petting zoo. He LOVES it.

This time we taught him how to pick up seed from the ground (okay it sounds gross but I am not paying $5.00 for a little cup of seed when we can get it for free and wash our hands really well after--sorry). He really enjoyed feeding the animals and laughed when they would lick his fingers.

This pictures sums up what the fair experience is really about: fair food. Nothing like funnel cake and fresh squeezed lemonade.

Another highlight of the day was watching the rock climbing. No, not people, really awesome cars/jeeps/trucks. Marcus pointed and shouted the whole time. It is so fun to see him get so excited about these things. Next year we're totally taking him to a monster truck rally. I think by then he'll have had enough time to grow a really sweet mullet (Lee's, we'll be sure to send you a picture. he he he).

I love your fair pictures! And yes, there is nothing like some greasy fair food. I love roasted corn on the cob, deep fried twinkies (yes, you heard me right, I said deep fried twinkies---YUM), and caramel apples. You should probably enlist Uncle Gary and Aunt Kelly to take Marcus to the truck rally, they sometimes go. Ha ha...oh man. Little boys.

I would love to see Marcus with a mullet. I wish we could have gone to the fair with you again and get powdered sugar all over me from the funnel cake.

Glad you were able to enjoy the fair so much. Did you name the animals and their sounds? Marcus is such a cutie and I can hear him yelling "truck" "truck" and see him grinning ear to ear! I love fair scones. Tim, do you remember the Gooding County scones we used to help make? Boy, were they yummmmmy!

Just make sure Tim grows a mullet to match. I'm sure it would really help his professional career. Plus it would be a really awesome father-son picture.

We are going to the fair soon also! I love the food! The AK state fair has a both that sells fried frog legs.

Megan: I didn't see in deep fried twinkies, but that sounds yummy. Do you think Gary would be up for growing a mullet too?

Janna: The powdered sugar got all over everything again but it was sooo worth it.

Ann: Marcus loved every minute.

Aub: I'll definitely suggest it to Tim.

Jen: That's disgusting. Also, have you tried them?

It looks like you had a great time. I wouldn't have paid for the feed either! If the mullets happen be sure to take tons of pictures to share!
