No news is good news?

I've been thinking about what to post about seeing as it has been nearly a week, but I can't seem to think of a thing--my creative juices just ain't flowing, so here for your blogging enjoyment is a collection of random "what's been happening around here" tidbits.

1. I finally am an official Idaho driver's license holder. I had to take the test and everything. Yes, I studied. Yes, I primped for my picture. Yes, I am a nerd.

2. My 26th birthday was nice and low-key. Tim spends the entire year telling me that we don't have money for this or that or the other and then on my birthday he goes a little crazy and spoils me rotten. He gave me some money for a shopping spree, bought me the red twig and willow wreath I have been fantasizing about owning since we bought this house (I will post pictures later because my camera's batteries are dead) and he bought me the willow shelves that are now sitting outside next to our grill. I love my husband.

3. My 5th wedding anniversary is coming up on August 3. What should I get the husband . . .

4. I just got called to be the Laurel adviser in my ward. My gut was telling me that Young Women's was where I'd go next. Chalk another one up for the gut. It's never wrong :)

5. I finished Harry Potter. I liked it.

6. My sister moved back to Utah. She lived with us for 2 months and moved in about 2 weeks after we moved to our house. Her absence is definitely going to take some getting used to. I will miss our sisters night out.

7. I spoke in church on Sunday. My topic was "Duty." I am glad that's over.

8. Matt Damon is coming to Boise tonight. We're going to go see if we can catch a glimpse of him with my cousins and their families. One cousin is hoping he'll sign her poster that says, "Matt Damon signed this poster for FHE." Here's hoping. Man, I really need to get some batteries for my camera in case he does get close enough to sign her poster.

That's cool, what is Matt Damon doing in Boise? Good luck. If you get a picture, you can send a copy to me for my birthday. Good luck with your calling. We had a fireside last night and my stake president was the speaker and he was talking about the requirement to be like little children, he said "it doesn't say to be like a teenager, can you imagine a bunch of 16 year olds in the Celestial Kingdom? None of the girls would be talking to each other and the boys would all be sitting in chairs around the perimeter of eternity leaning up against clouds looking for the refreshments." Hopefully your Laurels will be better than that!

Fun news. Sounds like some good things are going on in your life right now. You will be awesome in Young Women's. Did you see Matt Damon.

Wow. I am glad those Laurels have you. There's no way they will get to college thinking they won't actually graduate or need to use their degree because they will just get married before all that happens. How I wish I had someone like you for my laurel adviser!

I just have to tell you that I love coming over to your blog when I need a good laugh. (And that's a good thing). By the way, this is Aub's little sister.
