We have a 2-year-old!!!

Today is Marcus's birthday, but we actually celebrated on Saturday. I kept up the tradition and made him a fun cake and we went over to Pojo's (it's like Chuckee Cheese with pizza and rides and tokens and tickets). Marcus LOVED it. He loves the little ride area at Walmart so we knew he would be in heaven at this place and he was. The funniest thing was that he never really knew that the toys actually moved, so when we put tokens in them he about died with the sheer wonderfulness of it all. It was really cute. We also made sure to get enough tokens for the big kids (the adults) to have some fun too. After, we came home for cake, ice-cream, and presents. It was a really fun party.

Keeping up the tradition with this year's birthday cake creation. As you can see his obsession with motor vehicles of any kind continues.

"Car, Car, Car"

KayLyn got him a birthday card that plays music when you open it. It was a huge hit. Grandma and Grandpa got him the little Lightning McQueen chair. KayLyn got him the movie.

Heaven, sheer heaven.

Have any of you played this dance game? It is the coolest thing ever. I pretty much became obsessed with it. Emma and Ann can attest to just how super fun it is--and such a good work out too.

Happy Birthday to Marcus J!! So much fun. I can't believe he is 2. He is just getting so big. It looks like the outfit fits him well. Does he like the clothes better now? I wish I could have been there for the party, sigh. Next year hopefully!

I can't believe he's two! I remember when we were both preggo counting down the days until we had Marcus and Charlie. Time flies. Did you make that cake? Very impressive! I take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese sometimes and they LOVE it. EVERY time Winston gives the prayer (on a daily basis), he says "thank you that Mom could take me to Chuck. E. Cheese. You look so cute in that picture doing the dance game. We miss you guys!

Alecia: The outfit looks so cute on him--he looks like a little California surfer baby in it. We would LOVE for you to come up for his party next year. Mark your calendar now.

Jen: Muchas Gracias

Kelly: No worries. I'll definitely pass on the hug and kiss. How are the wedding plans?

Steff: I know, I can't believe it either! When is Charlie's birthday? We see pictures of Winston and we are shocked at how old he is now. He'll forever be frozen at 2 1/2 for us. We really miss you guys too, especially when I see all the fun things you guys are doing.

I will be there, hopefully! I finished reading "Peace Like A River", it was so wonderful. I am going to have to buy it. By the way, the cake looks great. You are such a creative mommy. I decided to get married next year on August 8th, 8/8/08. So mark your calendar. I just need to find somebody to marry. Minor details!
