I found Patrick kneeling directly in front of the TV today, glued to "Cars-Cars" which he managed to TURN ON BY HIMSELF. That's TV on (he used the remote), switch the input button, remove DVD from case and put into DVD player and push play. BY HIMSELF. We're in such trouble. I really want a Time Scout but can't justify the 100 bucks yet.
You are so lucky! Charlie won't watch cartoons or movies. He just likes to run around and tear everything in sight to pieces. Winston, on the other hand, sometims GETS to watch cartoons half the day so I can get things done. Thanks for making me feel better about this. :) The picture is really funny.
I used to think that moms who let their kids watch too much TV were rotten/lazy parents...well, I've since then learned my lesson. (I've also learned to be a little less judgmental as well!) Besides, PBS isn't really TV, is it???
What a resourceful and smart little fella he is... a perfect chair to fit the need he had! Might get a stiff neck though... he's a little cutie isn't he! Hugs to all!
Katie- Little late but a Time Scout is a device that parents program to control the amount of TV (or video games, or internet) the kids can have. You tell it how much per day or week, when the kid wants to watch they (or you) scan a card which debits the account 1/2 hour each time it's scanned. For older kids they have to learn to budget their time over a week, for little, you budget for them per day.
I think that I will have to tell my children that Barney is of the devil, and that they will be punished if I ever find them watching barney at my house! :)

Ha. This makes me laugh. What a smart kid.
Aub: Glad to know I'm not the only one.
Adrianne: Kids are hilarious. I love reading about all the stuff your boys do :)

I can't believe that you are allowing your child to watch Barney!! I don't see what else is wrong with the picture.

Mom: He can't wait to see you again in person. I keep telling him about the elephant bag for his library books.
Amy: Wow. And what's a Time Scout?
Alecia: Ha ha, just wait until you have kids and we'll see what you think of Barney then :)
Steff: I so wish that we could get Charlie and Marcus together again. That would be so much fun.
Megan: Is it bad that I can list the whole PBS morning lineup?

I have to agree with Alecia...great picture minus Barney. I really hope that CJ doesn't care for him...Love the picture!
I laughed out loud when I saw this! Thank you for posting it!
I love it. It reminds me of my kids.
