I just thought I'd write a quick post on Marcus's latest likes/dislikes/achievements. I fully understand that this post will probably only be interesting to his grandparents and other close relatives--but for the rest of you, enjoy the funny picture :)
I chose this picture because one of Marcus's favorite things to do is put on our shoes and tromp around the house. When he wears my pink flip flops around they look like snowshoes. He also loves going on walks and would go on at least 5 a day if he had his way. There have been a few times when he's snuck into the garage and pushed his stroller around for awhile. His favorite walks usually end at the park where his favorite thing to do is swing. He'll swing for awhile in one swing and then want to get down and get in another swing. It's pretty funny.
We go to story time once a week at the library. He loves the puppets and the movie segment the very best, and the librarian always gives the kids a stamp on their hands after--he loves that stamp and examines it often during the rest of the day. Marcus has also developed an interest in watching movies. Last week, Tim got him a little sing-along movie from the library called "Wheels on the Bus" I now have that entire movie memorized. I swear we must've watched it 200 times and I am not even kidding--I wish I was.
People are always asking me if he's talking yet. Yep. He still babbles a lot, but there are definitely words surfacing. He says "Ought oh" "don't" "I want that" "cracker" "car" "truck" "tractor" "ball" "touchdown" "cat" and can do the sounds for a monkey, cat, cow, sheep, dog, and anything that growls.
He still loves to read. He definitely has some favorite books that, like the movie, we read over and over and over again. I may as well have those memorized too. Nursery in our new ward has been a bit of an adjustment for him. We have church at the worst possible time: 1-4. That is pretty much right during Marcus's naptime, so you can all imagine how that works out or rather, doesn't. Finally, the kid is a fish. He loves his swimming pool and he loves running through the sprinklers. He's definitely fun to have around.

It's fun to hear what things he's doing. He is seems to enjoy alot of the same things as Will.
Way to go Marcus! You should see if your library has Laurie Berkner, my kids really love her.
I can't believe how big his is getting.I love the shoes! He is a cutie! I can't wait to see him at the reunion. I am assuming you are coming. I hope so.
What a cute boy! Love the shoes, of course. And, may I say, that this picture really highlights your lovely new floors and paint. The house looks great in all the pictures. Congrats! :)
I wish you lived in Utah so we could get Charlie and Marcus together to play. C is also having a tough time in Nursery. I think it might be because we have four jam packed nurseries and it's pretty much a madhouse. Good luck helping Marcus adjust. I can't wait to go to RS again someday! :)
Adrianne: I love hearing all your "Will Stories"
Jen: We will look her up next time we're at the library.
Tammy: We'll be there. It'll be fun to get all the cousins together.
Rachel: We must be cousins who think alike--and maybe I shouldn't admit this, but after I posted this picture I totally noticed that too :)
Steff: I would LOVE that. Any chance you guys are driving through Boise again this summer?
As a close relative, I absolutely love this post. And I can't wait to see the little subject of it this weekend! We will have to bring up our swimming suits and play with Marcus in his pool!
I can empathize with you about having church at 1. It is AWFUL!! I feel bad for Brian because I lead the music in Sacrament meeting and he gets both kids almost the entire time. Only 1 more week of that, though, since we're moving a week from today. We'll have to wait and see when our new ward meets.
I miss story time at the Library!
The story time here is only for 3-5 year olds and Rusty wants to go and Stone won't go.
