If you give a mouse a cookie

If you ask the Richey's to hang curtains in their bedroom then they're going to notice while standing on the stool that the light fixture is a little loose so they'll take it down to tighten it.

But when they're tightening it, they'll notice that the screws are actually too small (no wonder it was loose!) so they'll wander through the house searching for screws that fit.

When the Richey's finally find screws that fit and get the light fixture back up they'll want to turn on the light to show off their handiness.

But when they turn on the light they'll discover that the light won't in fact turn on and then they'll notice that the clock radio and lamp in that same room also won't turn on so they'll have to check the breaker which they'll discover is not working and will need to be replaced. But the Richey's will then notice that it is eleven-o'clock at night and Home Depot is closed, so they'll have to make that trip tomorrow.

Owning a home is so wonderful.
