Nothing like a birthday with Randy Travis

My mom's birthday is today, but a week or so ago is when she really celebrated. She and a friend went to Wendover for a Randy Travis concert. My mom loves Randy Travis, and I can remember listening to him while I was growing up. Anyway, the concert was great and he sang all the songs she knows and loves and so I'm sure she was already feeling pretty good when he started inviting the people at the tables to come up to the front of the stage where he could shake hands and do a little mingling with the what I'm assuming was a largely female audience.

When the lady next to her whispered, "You should go up there," she didn't need much more prompting. My mom was not sitting at the invited tables, but she hopped a barrier and suddenly found herself breathing the same air as Randy Travis. The. Same. Air. Her birthday wish came true when she reached out her hand and Randy grabbed it, and I'm sure they shared an electrifying moment. When she went back to her seat a guard saw her climbing back over the barrier and told her she wasn't supposed to be doing that. "I know," she said with what I'm sure was a great big grin. Happy birthday, Mom. We love you.

Where's the end of the story? Didn't she sneak onto his tour bus (or at least the dressing room) and drive off into the sunset with him? Tell your mom Happy Bday from us.
