Eighteen!!!

My sister, Emma, is turning eighteen today. We called her this morning to sing Happy Birthday to her in a lovely off-key sort of way and I'm pretty sure she thoroughly enjoyed it :) Next week she is going on a lovely cruise with our mother--lucky duck.

Anyway, my sister has had a hard time this year and I am so proud of her for being a survivor. She's a good person and she has a lot of good things to offer the world. I think this could be a really great year for her. We love you so much, Emma. Have a wonderful birthday.

And, yes. I will send your present home with mom.

Thanks! We were on your blog the other day (I say "we" because Marcus was on my lap) and he loved the post with the video of your little boys playing and laughing together. I'm sorry I couldn't leave a note, but Marcus isn't so keen about me typing, just about him watching "movies."

Happy Birthday Emma! Remember when you came over to our apartment and we watched Bring it On or something? That was awesome. Congratulations on surviving adolescence.
