Seattle

Marcus and I flew to Seattle on Wed to see my friend Kristy and her new baby, (he's 3 months old) Cade. Kristy and I were friends at College Terrace and then met up again when we moved to Boise and she and her husband, Gabe, were living here. They just moved to Kenmore, WA in May and when she left we decided that I'd come for a visit just as soon as she and the baby were settled. Cade made his appearance in July and we were so excited to finally meet him. He's sooo cute! Here are a few pics from our 3-day adventure to Washington.

On Friday we headed to Seattle. Kristy and Cade took us to see the locks. Marcus loved seeing the boats up close. We also got to see some salmon making their journey, and we even spotted a seal/sea lion? out in the water. The locks were near these beautiful gardens, so we had lunch there. It was a really nice fall day.

Here we are still at the locks. We just thought this bridge was super cool so we thought we'd get a picture in front of it. Also, I just love the sky.

On Thursday we went on a short drive to Kirkland. Kristy and Cade showed us a nice little park where you can walk out on Lake Washington. Later we went to downtown Kirkland and had some Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Then it started raining (yep, we had the true Seattle experience) so we headed home.

Here's baby Cade. Isn't he adorable?

Baby Cade was kind enough to share all of his toys with Marcus. The chair was one of Marcus's favorites. He loved having a little seat that was just his size. Maybe Santa will bring him one for his very own this year . . .

Not yet. I think we'll wait until after Thanksgiving for that :)

Thanks, Adrianne. Yep, it was really fun. Now we just need to plan a trip to Oklahoma. I think Tim will want to come on that one. When's the best time of year to visit? Oh, and you're always welcome in Boise.

Madelyn has the same chair and loves it. Isn't it hideous?

We would love to have you come to Oklahoma! I can't promise there is a lot to see but come on down!!! We are going to Utah hopefully this summer when my brother comes back from his mission...maybe we should meet there.

I can't wait for Kevin to get home! What are the plans for his first Thanksgiving back from the mission? I think it is the Durrant year this year, so we will probably be at grandma's, or Devin's, or whoever is doing it this year. It's so soon! I remember seeing him when I worked in the MTC, it seems not so long ago. Time flies!
