Another Anniversary

I've been blogging for one year now. I shall celebrate this momentous occasion by giving you a little update on the Richey family as we enter the last chapter of our academic adventures. Yipppee!

Tim:
He just started his last semester at BSU and will have his Master's of Accountancy in December. I'd really like him to walk at graduation, but we'll see. He isn't too excited about that idea. He's working three jobs this semester: he's a grader for three professors, a tutor for the athletic dept., and he just got a job working in the grant dept for the school of Applied Sciences. He's working three jobs because we were a little worried about money and it all kind've went from famine to feast. The jobs are all pretty low key, so it should be okay. Okay, now's the part where I brag about my wonderful husband so feel free to skip if you'd like :) Tim has passed 3/4 of the CPA test sections. We have all the lovely letters hanging on our fridge. He'll retake the last section in October or November. He also received a scholarship from the accounting dept. this semester. Tim's favorite class this semester? Racquetball. (I have no idea if I spelled that correctly.)

Me:
I'm keeping pretty busy with Relief Society. I'm still heading up the ward book club and I'm really enjoying that. We're also starting up a cooking club which I'm going to join and then there's playgroup once a week. Thank goodness for church or I'd probably have no social life :) I've become addicted to blogging and watching television series' on dvd. I love being home with Marcus. He is the most wonderful little guy and I'm really grateful that I get to spend so much time with him. Oh, and my second home is the library. I think we go there at least 3 times a week.

Marcus:
He'll be fifteen-months-old in a few weeks. He loves playing with his walker toy, attacking Lucille, giving hugs, eating fruity snacks, and basically hamming it up. He still isn't walking yet. He's taken a few steps and he can stand by himself now, but he just hasn't decided that walking is something he wants to do yet. I hope he decides to walk soon though because the kid is pushing 30 pounds and is just getting really heavy to carry around everywhere. He's a wonderful little member of our family.

So there you go, Happy Blogging Anniversary!!

Thanks for the update! Glad things are going well. You should post a picture of your arm muscles from lugging that chunk around! What exactly does Tim do while he tutors?

He's an accounting tutor. I will definitely start snapping some shots of my giant arms :)

Oh, and have lots of fun with your family in Alaska.

Congrats to Tim on passing the CPA (most of it anyway). That's a huge accomplishment! Good luck with your last semester.

Thanks, Aub. I'll pass your message on to Tim.
