Usually Zoo Boise closes its gates at 5:00. Not so last Thursday. On that special day the zoo was open and offering dinner until 9:00. Of course we went. We ate hotdogs (Marcus's favorite food) and Tim threw bread crumbs to the birds which Marcus thought was hysterical, and then we went on a scavenger hunt through the zoo. It was lots of fun and the Maggie Moo ice cream (chocolate for me, raspberry sorbet for Tim) was delicious on a hot summer day.I just love all the fun stuff I get to do now that I'm a mom. About two weeks ago Marcus and I went with some friends to see Curious George at the theater (free movie Tues & Wed). I loved it. (I really liked the Jack Johson soundtrack) We also get to go have free lunch at the park during the week. And honestly, it's much more fun to go to the pool with Marcus. At least then, I'm actually with my excuse for a pudgy belly and stretch marks, so nobody has to wonder :)

Nope, we're really cheap. Tim just put it on his head, snapped some pictures, and then put it back on the rack. I'm pretty sure if I was the sales lady I would have been a wee bit steamed. Oh well, there's your son for you :)
We love the zoo also! Only they don't feed us free food.
Yesterday my friend (she just got married a couple months ago) came over and hung out since she ahd the day of and she asked,'so is this what you do all day? Hang out?' When I told her pretty much, she was like,'WOW! I think I need to get pregnant.'
Then I reminded her about how Savannah fell off the pew at church on Sunday twice and how special that was (she was sitting behind us) and I think she changed her mind.
We love the zoo! We get a military discount so it is so cheap to go for us. It is awfully hot though--last time we spent more time under the misters than we spent looking at the animals! Well, maybe a tad exaggeration but they sure made the experience a whole lot better. Then Mike's parents bought us yummy icecream dots. I'm glad you got to go and get free food and see all the animals.
