My birthday was yesterday, so now I'm 25. Yikes! At first it looked like my birthday was going to be like any other day because Tim had to go to Las Vegas for his internship, but then my mom called and said she'd found some really cheap tickets and so she was coming up for my birthday!! She flew in on Sunday night and we had a nice birthday dinner (Cafe Rio taco salad--yummy) and angel food cake with whip cream and raspberries (double yummy!) Tim gave me this wonderful lilac body wash which is divine. I can never find lilac anything and it is one of my favorite smells, so he went to this little shop downtown where you can have perfumes and washes and aftershaves made and they made a special bottle all for me :) He also gave me an Alison Krauss cd.
Tim flew out the next morning and my mom and I went and got pedicures (thus, the picture). When I am rich, I shall get frequent pedicures because it was great, and everytime I look at my toes I smile. It was really nice to spend the day with my mom and I'm glad she came. Marcus is glad too. He loves when grandma comes and spoils him and his mom.
Thanks to everyone who called and sent cards. I love you all!
Oh, the other picture is because Marcus saw me taking pictures of my own toes and climbed all over me until I took one of his too.

Love the toes, and that your mom is all about pedicures and things! That is so cool.
Marcus has the cutest little chubby baby feet. Pretty funny for how skinny the rest of him is!
Yeah!! Happy 25th Birthday Katie. I am SO looking forward to my birthday. You've inspired me to get a pedicure.
So fun! My mother-in-law just sent me money in the mail to get my very first manicure. I am so excited. I haven't had a pedicure either so that will have to be my next thing to try. Happy birthday! It sounds like it was fun.
Jen-Marcus has actually chunked up quite a bit. He's in the 70th percentile for weight now.
Melissa-Definitely! Don't go to a salon though, just go to one of those nail places where that's all they do (usually run by asians). Also, don't spend more than $30 or it's not a good deal. You'll love the massage chairs you get to sit in while they work on your toes. If you already knew all of this then sorry :) It was all pretty new to me.
Adrianne-Enjoy the manicure, but you really should convince Mike that you need a pedicure before you have that baby. Then you'll have fabulous toes in the hospital!
Well, gross I know, but I have warts on my feet and since they don't hurt I haven't bothered to get them off yet--they come off first thing when the baby come though. Anyway, the doctor said pedicures were off limits until I have them off. Too much info, yes.
You are the funniest, Adrianne!!
I didn't even know it was your birthday! My twin brothers were born on the 24th of July, too. Happy Happy Birthday! I'm glad you got to relax and enjoy. My mom got my dad addicted to pedicures. (Obviously, without the polish.) She always gets flowers or polka-dots (where did that term come from, by the by?)
