I think most of you already know about Tim's summer internship. He's working for the internal audit department of a large company called
BMHC. We're excited about the internship and the opportunity it will be for Tim and our family, but with this blessing comes some hardship too. Tim is going to be gone every other week throughout the summer. Originally, his first trip was going to be the second week in June (he's going to Denver), but yesterday he came home and told me that he was going to Modesto on Monday. This will be the only time he'll be gone two weeks in a row. Well, I got to thinking as I penciled in the weeks he'll be gone to various cities, that my husband is going to be gone for about a month this summer and it made me a little sad, but then I thought of how blessed I am to have the following while Tim is gone
- Marcus
- my ward (which includes my calling, play-group, and my book clubs)
- Lucille
- my apartment (with all the amenities)
- my family
- Tim's family
- my friends (both near and far)
And then I started thinking about how wonderful my husband is to work so hard for our family. I love you, Tim. You are a wonderful husband, father, and provider. Thank you.

Katie, I am sorry that Tim has to be gone so much this summer but I am glad you have so many things to keep you busy. This summer with Tim being gone will go by faster than you expected, I'm sure. I also am positive that it will make you both appreciate each other so much more than you already do. Good luck.
Thanks Adrianne. I know that you've dealt with having Mike gone for much longer than a month. I really appreciate your friendship. How are you guys liking the new house? It looks pretty nice.
Katie, Mike was gone for a long time (almost five months) but that doesn't mean that it will be any easier for you just because he will be gone for a month. It will still be hard. I feel bad for you. However, I have confidence in you! You should definately take your moms offer and visit them and get involved. Think of all the fun girls parties you can have while Tim is gone! And, we love our house. I suggest buying a home to anyone who has the money to make the investment.
I am really looking forward to our house buying day!! I am glad you guys are settling in and loving your new place. Are you going to paint? I think that is one thing I'm really looking forward to when we own a home.
Sounds good. Too bad you have a job though because I'll probably be down during the week and home on the weekends.
