Because our vacuum sucked, or rather, didn't

On Saturday we went out and bought our very first vacuum. We have had vacuums of course, but they were always old castoffs that people had generously given us and that suited us just fine until Marcus started crawling. Well, actually it's a bit more of an army style scoot around the room; he hasn't mastered the whole up on hands and knees thing yet, but needless to say he is on the ground and moving and unfortunately this crawling stage coincides with the "I'm going to stick everything in sight into my mouth" stage. So, we got a Bissell with no bag (the fact that I can see everything I've just sucked up is both disgusting and gratifying). And now Marcus can roam around with minimal danger of putting something truly revolting into his mouth.

Boy do I hear that. We put new carpet in our house, and even though it's been vacuumed many, many times, it still (and will for a very long time) sheds like crazy. You open up Maddie's clenced fists only to find complete FURBALLS. Its even worse when you see fibers coming out of her mouth. Oh the joys.....

Yay for the new vacuum. When we lived at Wyview I remember thinking it was a pointless task because the carpets were so filthy her hands and knees were always dark from the dirt.

Jen-that sounds like the carpet we had at College Terrace too. I remember Abby would always walk around barefoot and her feet were filthy. Remember that picture with John? Gross!

Melissa-I want to see your house next time we come down to Utah.

Alecia-thanks!

By the way, isn't anyone going to comment on my witty title for this particular post? One of my favorites.
